Elements 2018 Organizer thumbnail size

I just upgraded from Elements 11 to Elements 2018.  The organizer thumbnails crop out large parts of the photo, making it hard to see all of the faces I want to tag.  How can I set the thumbnails up to display the entire photo?

My guess is that you are in the default 'adaptative grid' view. That viewing mode is made for very fast display to select and search for files visually. The thumbnail size is now the same independently of the vertical or horizontal orientation, hence the crop (that enables much faster viewing of pages).
Just use the shortcut Ctrl D to switch to and from 'adaptative grid' to 'detailed' view. Or use the View menu with the same option.
