Folders that have been deleted still appear in Photoshop Organiser

Hi

I generally use an external hard drive for my photo storage and often modify my folders i.e. rename them, move images, duplicate photos in them in other folders etc.

I have recently upgraded to Elements 2018 and now in organiser I have my new/modified folders in the folders section of organiser and all my old / historic folders that are no longer on my hard drive. I can not delete them without going into each folder deleting each missing file and then it auto deletes, does anyone know of a simple way to delete these folders.

Also on my hard drive I have more images in the folders than those that appear in Organiser usually its the copies / duplicates that are missing is this normal, am I doing something wrong or expecting too much from organiser.

I have to say Canon DPP follows all the changes instantly.

Any help / advice would be very welcome
