Grid View

I am annoyed by the persistence of the grid view in Elements Editor. If I turn it on just once, it keeps turning itself back on no matter how many times I turn it off. Each time I look at a photo in a new view, it pops back on. It is so annoying that I avoid using grid view unless I absolutely need it. Even closing and relaunching Editor doesn't help. I have to close Photoshop Elements completely to make it stop. Does anyone else have this problem? Or a work around?
