Importing catalogue/content from Organizer 14 into Elements 2018

I'm thinking about upgrading to Elements 14 to Elements 18 ... Can the catalogue/content database in Organizer 14 be easily imported into Elements 2018?

(I've recently discovered that the Places (Google) maps are no longer working in Organizer 14 - grey screen instead of map view.)

One other question, is it possible to run the trial version of Elements 2018 alongside Organizer 14 without Elements 2018 messing around with the 'Elements 14' catalogue database?

Thanks, John S

Yes you can install PSE 2018 as a trial side by side with PSE14. You should be prompted to upgrade your existing catalog which will then be compatible with PSE 2018. You have 30 days to decide to buy at the upgrade price or wait for PSE 2019, expected late September/early October.

Many thanks for your prompt and useful reply.

When you say 'upgrade your existing catalog', does that mean that PSE 2018 creates a completely new mirror copy of the AEO 14 catalog, or does convert the existing '14' catalog to a PSE 2018 compatible format? I'm concerned that after the PSE 2018 trial, if I decide to stick with '14', I still have a usable catalog and that it has not been corrupted by the PSE 2018 import processing.

A new converted catalog will be created. You can always go back to the earlier catalog without problem. If you decide to wait to purchase PSE 2019 you still qualify for upgrade pricing from any previous version.
