My actions stopped working after last update

My actions stopped working after last update. I read somewhere I should reset preferences on quit. which worked once but after I closed photoshop and opened it again the second and every time since none of my installed actions work.  It says "the command 'blankety blank" is not available for each one I try. I even reinstalled my actions.
