New help resizing dpi on greeting card template without loosing size of card on template

Hi,

I bought a greeting card template and envelope template that is sized at 3508 X 2480 at 300 dpi.  The card file is a 5 X 7 png front and back template.  It is set up to place paper and photos inside the frame then print.  When I print it out, the card is 5 X 7 when folded.

My question is:

I have finished a card I made with the template and want to upload it to my group.

They have a maximum file size for uploads of 1664 X 1176 at 150 dpi.  When I change the template file to their size, it also changes the size of the card, so it no longer prints out at 5 X 7.

Is there a way to change the size of the file to meet their requirements of 1664 X 1176, but keep the actual 5 X 7 print size so when anyone downloads my file it will print the card and envelope at the correct 5 X 7 size?

This inquiry is very confusing to me. I can't make sense of the numbers, and by my calculation the aspect ratios do not coincide. In addition, dpi (dots/inch) is a determinant applied by your printer. The file which you reference has a resolution value expressed in px/in (Pixels/inch).

Go to Image>Resize>image size and work in the dialog to change the document size. Be sure that the resample & constrain proportions boxes are checked, and a value for resolution is entered.

Also, it is enigmatic to me how one can have a folded card inside a paper frame and visualize the content.The folded card has a front, two inside panels, and a back. I'm missing something!

Sorry, I am new at this and find it hard to explain what I am working with.  I'm not sure, but I think one file is US size  and the other is A4 UK.

The card template is on the 3508 X 2480 (300 dpi) which is approx. 11.69 X 8.27 (which I think should have been 11. X 8.5)  The template I am working on is a rectangle shape 10" wide and 7" high with a border around the outside and a line down the middle showing where to fold.  So this file is the card front and card back.  However I need to convert that to the 1664 X 1176 size for the UK group, but still have the rectangle in the middle of the file print at the 10 X 7 rectangle size.

If the dimensions of the template and the picture file are at variance, you can try to use the crop tool in order to make things fit.
