new to elements 2018

In a review of new items in 2018 it shows a new search box at the top of the page and a dropdown of items on the left-smart tags etc. My version does not show this  page. Am I in a wrong start up or is there something I have to do to get this?

What happens when you click the Organizer search button (top-right) and hover over the smart tag icon – arrowed in red on image below.  Or try typing a generic word into the search box like water, mountain , hiking etc.

 

Otherwise check Preferences for the media analysis options. Ensure the boxes are all checked for smart tagging and auto curation etc.
