Question

Not enough RAM

I have been using PSE14 for some time now and haven't experienced any issues, ever. I've been away from it for a while and just yesterday (after a few mos.) sat down to edit some recent photos. I found it impossible to complete any edits. The screen would initially freeze and the program would then crash. A message indicating that there was insufficient RAM might then appear. I tried re-loading from the disk provided but to no avail. Every subsequent attempt to edit ended in the same manner. I checked the conversations regarding issues from other PSE14 users and there were some similarities. Solutions were offered to adjust the Registry but, they weren't quite specific enough for my situation and any corrective chains offered just didn't quite correspond to what I was seeing as I followed them.  Could this also be a compatibility issue with recent Windows updates downloaded? Any suggestions?

Those solutions did work for thousands of users with the same Windows update problem.

If they don't work for you, there is something wrong in the way you have applied the registry fix. It's enough to have a space added to the 'Dword' for instance.

Can you copy and paste the first twelve lines of the dialog you get from the menu 'Help >> System Information' ?

This will tell if the registry edit has been correctly applied. How much RAM in your computer?

Just so we are on the same page, where on the Adobe page does this appear?
