Photoshop Elements 2020 erkennt unter Datei - Öffnen keine HEIC-Bilder

PS Elements 2020 ist unter Windows 10 installiert. HEIF- und HEVC-Erweiterungen sind installiert. HEIC-Bilder lassen sich mit Windows Fotos und Irfanview problemlos öffnen, ebenfalls in PS 2020 (im Datei Explorer, nach Rechtsklick auf das Bild mit "Öffnen mit").

Jedoch: In PS 2020 im Menü Datei - Öffnen werden Bilder im HEIC-Format nicht angezeigt, und zwar weder unter Alle Formate (*.*) noch unter HEIF-Formate. Wo liegt das Problem?

Hi there,

 

We apologize for the issue you are facing while trying to use HEIC/HEIF files with Photoshop Elements 2020.

 

Since you have already installed the extension pack, try to clear the media cache for Photoshop Elements 2020 and then relaunch the application before trying to import the images.

Thank you, but the mentioned link does not help. I still can not find and open HEIC/HEIF-files within Photoshop via the file - open dialog.

Just for clarification: HEIC/HEIF files work fine within my environment. They also can be opened via file explorer via context menu with "open with".
