Photoshop Elements accidentally purchased for Windows on Macbook

I have a serial number from my Windows purchase yesterday, but I meant to purchase for my Macbook. How can I download the Macbook version and can I use the same serial number? If not, how do I proceed to get this changed so I can use it?

This answer doesn't help me at all, as if my question hasn't even been read. I'll restate, the purchase is already done and realized after the fact that it is for Windows and I'm on a Macbook.

Can someone from Adobe help me? Or provide a number to directly call.
