Photoshop Elements. Default Catalog not found

I have Elements 9.  Two days ago I turn on Elents and when accessing  ORGANISER field the screen shows "default catalog not found".  How can I recover this as I have 20,000 images in the organiser.

Your images are not 'in the organizer'. They are where you have imported them in your computer. The organizer keeps a catalog with links to those picture files locations. The message you are getting means that for some reason the location of the catalog is no longer recognized by the organizer.

You  can find the location of the catalog folder by looking for a file named 'catalog.pse9db' from your explorer or finder. The folder which contains that database is the catalog folder. Once you have found that location, you can use the catalog manager option to browse to that location and open it.

    Hi

Hold down the Ctrl, Alt, and Shift keys (windows) or Option, Command, Shift (Mac OSX) and click Organize. Keep holding down the keys until you see the Catalog Manager window.

Please select the catalog if it shows in the list.

If the catalog does not show in list, click browse and get to the catalog location and select it. Below are default catalog locations for Elements organizer:

    • Mac OS
      Current User: /Users/Your User Name/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Elements Organizer/Catalogs/Catalog Name
    • Windows 7, 8, 10
      All Users: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\Catalog Name
      Current User: C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\Catalog Name
    • Windows XP
      All Users: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\Catalog Name
      Current User: C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Application Data\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\Catalog Name

If you keep getting the error while opening Elements organizer, after performing above steps, Select your catalog and click Repair.  Select “repair anyway” even if PSE doesn’t find problems.

Then for good measure, click Optimize.

    Thanks and regards
