PSE 14 - 'Insufficient RAM' when saving JPEG files

It would appear that this problem has arisen since the latest Windows 10 upgrade was 'forced' upon us in April/May.

I can open images in camera RAW and modify as usual. When trying to save in JPEG format I get the 'Not enough RAM to carry out operation' flag. Not bad since my machine has 16gig of RAM. The programme worked perfectly until the Windows upgrade, so who's to blame for this huge problem that renders PSE14 inoperable - Adobe or Microsoft???

I still have a copy of PSE9 on my machine and this works perfectly, so in my very limited knowledge of operating systems and software, the problem is the latest Windows 10 upgrade.

I would really appreciate a solution to this problem has I have magazine print deadlines to meet.

Error: An integer between 50 and 8 is required | Elements | Windows 10

You'll see dozens of posts recently about that Windows update issue and the workaround.
