PSE 14 panoramic photmerge

Finally got around to installing PSE 14 that was a gift Christmas 2015 (not subscription).  Tried panoramic photo merge - couldn't make it work.  Followed all adobe and youtube  directions and finally realized others had same problem - it was a bug in PSE 14.  Adobe - Photoshop does not support 14 and apparently the solution is to buy 15.  Any advice on how to proceed without more expense?

There were a few problems with PSE14 Photomerge panoramas.

    - The most frequent one was to use the 'Guided' view instead of the 'Expert' view

    - The next one was the necessity for vertical (portrait) orientation pictures to be 'saved' before the merge.

    Here are links to solutions:

Panoramas - Error Message: Documents must be saved before they can be merged

Once you understand the issues, you can work in PSE14.

PSE15 solved the problem of saving and we no longer see as many complaints as with PSE14.

Try selecting thumbnails in Organizer and saving copies:

    File >> Export As

You may wish to resize if the originals are very large files.

Then try the pano with the saved copies.

I have tried your recommendations.  All indications are that it is a bug.  How do I get Adobe to correct this issue?  Faulty product that they appear to be unwilling to repair.

It works OK for me in PSE14, These are the steps I follow:

    1. Select saved photos in Organizer
    2. Click Editor button at the bottom
    3. Click Guided
    4. Hold down Ctrl key and highlight each photo in the photo bin (white highlight) including the one with the blue surround
    5. Click Photomerge on the top sub-menu
    6. Click Photomerge Panorama
    7. Set as automatic
    8. Click Create Panorama
    9. Save
    10. Then use File >> Close All
