PSE 2.0 upgrade options

When I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro, it came with Elements 2.0. I am running Win 10 and PSE 2.0 with no problems but later versions have greatly increased functionality so I want to upgrade but can not find an internal Adobe upgrade pathway. Is the only way to buy a new software version package, no way to upgrade within my Adobe account?

    Discounts for Photoshop Elements often mean the full version is cheaper than the upgrade version. The only difference between them is the serial number. The software code is identical.

    The benefit of the full version is that you only need the serial number it came with to install or re-install it. With upgrades, you always need two serials: the 2018 serial and the version you upgraded from. People often lose the earlier one and are then stuck with unuseable software.

    Right now, the upgrade from Adobe is US$80 and the full version from Amazon is US$89. Amazon often sell it for US$60. Shop around.

    If you can, I would get the full version but bear in mind that the 2019 version is imminent so it might pay to wait a couple of weeks.
