Raw Files

Question

Hi
I want to download from a Canon EOS 2000 D and edit raw files in Adobe Photoshop Elements 10. I recently purchased a Nikon D 3500 but had to return it as I could not open the raw NEF files in Photoshop 10 Elements. The Adobe website proved to be confusing as it seemed to infer that I would have to use Lightroom instead of Photoshop Elements.
I am a professional artist, not a professional photographer, but equire a decent inexpensive camera that will produce high resolution files to edit. If I upgraded to Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 is there a camera out there that will enable me to OPEN and EDIT the files in this programme?! All advice would be really useful as I am totally confused trawling through the suppoted cameras for Adobe.

If you update your Photoshop Elements to the newest version you should able to work with most of the actual saled cameras. For new cameras Adobe will released updates for CameraRaw.

If you don't wish to update your PSE you can convert the RAW files of your camera into the DNG format. This format is also supported in PSE 10.
