Raw Plug in - New camera - PS will not open raw files

I just bought a new camera--Canon EOS Rebel SL2. Raw files taken with this camera will not open. The camera is not listed on the Adobe list of cameras from which PS will open raw files.  I updated PS and downloaded the latest camera raw plug-in--still won't open.

There is a message on the raw plug in page that says be patient if you bought a camera within the last 90 days--they may ultimately update the software to open the files.

I wish there were a more immediate solution.
