Question

Right to left languages support on Photoshop elements 2018

Hi,

Tho it's almost 2018 it seems that PS elements 2018 does not support natively RTL languages like Hebrew.

In the forum I found suggest workaround by using pre-created PSD file with RTL template.

Is it possible to make this template as default somehow?
I'm trying to figure out how to use RTL language without a need to load this PSD every time.

Thanks

Here are the requirements for Elements 2018 and the available languages for your OS platform:

Tech Specs & System Requirements | Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018

I can't see how a template could do miracles...

Thanks Michel,
Not sure why are those system requirements are pertinent, the software is already running,
it's Just a language issue

The template workaround was suggested here:
Does Photoshop Elements 15 Support Arabic text?

This workaround  does make it possible to write in RTL, however I would like to have that as a default if possible.
Opening this RTL PSD each time is quite cumbersome and inefficient.

Sorry, but you seem to think that everybody can understand your original post.

I did not understand that you were using an English version,

I did not understand that you were talking about writing text layers with fonts used RTL.

What I can say now, if my new understanding is not completely false again is that Elements has never been a text editing software; it just needs basic tools to complement its natural and original purpose: editing photos. The fact that we are at version 2018 does not change that fact.

I must say I don't know if the professional Photoshop CC has that feature, I would expect it to provide a much better handlng of text.

Hi ophir.m,

This is the Photoshop forum, and your question is on Photoshop Elements, which is a different product. I'll move your question to the correct forum, so that you can get the support you need.
