i have dated And labeled old photos scanned and imported into a catalog in Elements 2018. How can I best share images with my brother, preserving dates and labels?

    Hi,

There are two ways you could share your images with tags and other metadata preserved on them:

    1. Use the Share->Email functionality within Elements organizer.

    2. If you want to e‑mail or share media files without using the Elements Organizer e‑mail feature, you can manually write the tag information into the IPTC Keyword section in the header of the file. For this:

    • In the Media view, select one or more files and choose File > Save Metadata to Files.
    • In the Media view, select one or more files and press Ctrl + W (Command+W in case of Mac)

Both the ways, the received images by your brother will have metadata written on them and would be visible when images are imported in Elements Organizer. Keyword tags would be visible under the 'Imported Keyword tags' section in Right Panel.

    Thanks,

    Somya

I do not want to share the catalog (put it on cloud fir two users). I simply want to identify many items in my catalog and send them to my brother with the labels and other metadata such as date included so when he pads them into his catalog he has the metadata.
