Shutdown when saving

Very disappointed in the support you offer for your programs and now I am hearing early today I was scammed.  I paid good money for this program and need it for my livelihood and by not being able to talk to tech support I have opened up my computer to identity theft.

I will try this again, as I was told by text and virtual that this is the only way to tech support.  Since the Windows update this week, every time I save my work in anything but Photoshop-the program shuts down.

    So, you know what happened.

I will try this again, as I was told by text and virtual that this is the only way to tech support.

Can you explain in simple English how you were told 'by text and virtual'? (English is not my native language).

    About 'tech support':

Adobe offers 'Customer Care' to help customers, mainly by chat for Elements, but only for the current version, PSE2018. For older versions, you'll get much better answers here than from Adobe help staff, who are trained to support the latest PSE version.

The forum you are posting in is a user to user forum, and Adobe Staff rarely comes in to give answers.
    - This forum is full of answers to thousands of questions and issues.

    - This forum offers the help of volunteers like me.

I don't understand what you mean.

    So, back to your issue.

When you open the Elements forum, you have a list of faqs, including the last one:

    Photoshop Elements

Error: An integer between 50 and 8 is required | Elements | Windows 10

Your issue is the one which has brought the most discussions and posts since I am following it. One hundred discussions, thousands of posts, one hundred thousand 'hits'...
    To summarize:

Adobe did not take hold of your computer to change the code of your applications. That's what Microsolft did. In your computer, they changed the code in their operating system used to inform other applications about the available memory. And they don't allow you to roll back to the previous Windows 10 version.

The memory issue has many consequences and triggers many different error messages.

So, do like thousands of other users: follow the step by step solution offered in the help file.
