Slideshow not working

I have PSE15 app for w10. When I try to do a slideshow in elements nothing is working . There are no templates showing the slideshow  doesn't  load or there is a play, edit ,save toolbar and no playback screen. I  have tried installing and reinstalling .  I have also spent about 2 days trying to get adobe to help but they aren't interested as it was purchased through the microsoft app store.  Has anyone got any ideas please.  Thank you
