Trying to print photos...Adobe Photoshop wont' use the correct printer

I have two printers connected to my computer -- the Canon PRO-100 that I use for photo printing, and the Epson printer that I use for printing documents.  WHen I try to print photos from Adobe Photoshop Elements, I select the Canon printer in the dropdown box.  However, there is an error continually occurring== the Adobe Photoshop elements will not print on the correct printer that I have selected on the dropdown menu, the Canon printer.  It keeps reverting to the default Epson printer, though that is NOT the one I selected in the dropdown box.  What can I do to stop this from happening? Because basically this makes the Adobe Photoshop ELements software pretty much useless -- if I can't print out photos.

Moreover--- I think it's absolutely lousy that Adobe wont' provide tech support by phone or chat for those of us experiencing problems like these that are due to Adobe software errors.  These problems are their fault, and they should be providing tech support to those who are affected by problems or bugs innate to their software.  We shouldn't have to spend hours searching on Google looking for help, poring over forums looking for old threads on the issue, or taking our computer to a local photography store and standing in line for 1/2 hr and then being told we can get help as paid consulation for a cost which would essentially be the same as buying another version of Adobe PHotoshop Elements.  It's really bad customer service to not provide support for problems their own software has caused.

Thank you...I actually found that page through a Google search on the issue, but I cannot figure out where to go from there.

First , I have Adobe PHotoshop Elements 14, not Adobe Photoshop Elements 13.

Second, it's not clear from the page whose link you provided, how to solve the problem.  The information there just says to change settigns on Photoshop elements so that updates are applied now or on exit.  I did that, then closed the application, and then opened it again and I still have the same problem.  I don't see that any updates have been applied.  Isn't there a way to download the updates?
