Upgrading to the new version of photo shop

I recently bought a new a new lap top computer that has the Windows 10 operating system. I currently have the photo shop elements 11 program on my old computer that has the Vista operating system. Do I need the earlier version of photo shop on the new computer before I can upgrade to the newer version of photo shop elements on my new laptop?

    No.

    Each version is independent, and they can be on the same machine. The current version of PSE is #15.
