Question

Watch folder exclude list

Greetings,

I just discovered this file:

%appData%\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\Shane\Watch Folder\Ignore Files Map.xml

I don't want any files in my Watch Folder to be excluded from the catalog. I started going through the list of files one by one, but there are hundreds of files in here. If I deleted this file, would PSE recreated it the next time it runs?

I have PSE 15.0 on Windows 10 Home 64-bit.

Thanks,

Shane.

    Shane,

I don't use watched folders for two sufficient reasons:

1 - does not work for me (same OS as yours); no 'Adobe Active File Monitor V15', or .. V16 services installed nor running.

2 - I much prefer to import again a folder with its subfolders when I decide so instead of letting a background task run and work randomly. I know that already imported files will be skipped, so, that is equivalent to starting an immediate and targeted watched folder scan.

But I tried renaming the file you are showing; the result is that it is not re-created when restarting the organizer. I don't know how files can be recorded in that list (and from which organizer version). Mystery... maybe submit a question in the feedback forum?
