Ability to create new folder in Import tab

Why do I not have the ability to make a new folder in the import tab? This is some simple 101 UI ability. Instead I have to go into Windows Explorer to make a new folder from there. Super annoying and it has been like this since you changed to the Import/Edit/Export tabs. I just cant understand why these "bugs" doesent get fixed. Dont you have meetings discussion your software interface? Arent you using your own software?

I've got not problem with that! I'm just a practical user in the main ... what works as is is the first thing to establish for me. So ... "this is how it does work for what you need" ... comes first.

After that, yes, what we can get the devs to do that we would like ... certainly! And they have the whole "Ideas" post type here for that too.

Whu not just make it so that I can create a new folder? Every other software has this feature.

That's not the usage that import/new project page was designed  for. This was built for the users needing a quick "flat project" thing. Such as TV newsrooms and major corporate in-house video production teams needing to handle their social and explainer workflows.

It was meant only as a replacement for all the unused options of the old new project dialog ... cache locations & such ... that were moved to the Project Settings dialog.

If you work needing a formal structure within your project, use the OLD method. Which is as expected. Though certainly not obvious. Sadly.

Type a Name, select a Location, then  (first time only) make sure nothing is selected in the Media section in the middle nor the Options section at right. No 'stars', no blue (selected) options.

Now click the Create tab, and build your project using the Project or MediaBrowser panels as before.
