any way to get Premiere to stop playback on last frame of last clip in timeline?

I'm trying to get Premiere to stop the playhead on the last frame of the final clip in my timeline. Whenever I hit the spacebar to play my footage, Premiere ends on black because it stops right after the final frame in my sequence. Of course if I select "play in to out" it won't do that. Just wondering why it plays beyond the last frame when I play back my footage using the spacebar. Thank you in advance for any help with this.
