Question

CEP attachProxy won't work in Premiere Pro version 23.1.0

Hi, we are using Extended Script in our app to attach a proxy to a high-resolution file. It was working without any problem until Premiere Pro version 23.1.0 came out.

ProjectItem.attachProxy() function returns undefined. The same script attaches proxies in version 23.0.0 and below (22.6.3).

MacOS Monterey 12.6.1.

Effected Premiere Pro versions 23.1.0, 23.3.0 Beta

Can you help me to solve this problem? Thanks

Hello @gokhanokumus,

Thanks for the message. It’s been a long time since you filed this bug, and I apologize for the lack of a response. Are you still having this issue? If so, the team will need more information from you to reproduce the bug. Can you provide the information required here? How do I write a bug report?

I'll move your post to the Discussions board while we await your information.

Thanks,

Kevin

I found out that the new Premiere Pro version 23.1.0  is not identifying the proxy files anymore. The same files are working with other Premiere Pro versions. It gives 'The file has an unsupported compression type.' error. We are going to inspect our proxy files to solve this problem.
