Question

Clip audio mutes after splitting

Hello! I am currently experiencing a very frustrating bug where the audio of my clip is muted on the right after the split tool is used. I am working with a nested sequence, and when inside that sequence the audio can be split fine with no errors.

Bug steps

1. The nested clip is split

2. Audio on the right hand side of the clip is muted

If I split the clips before where I am currently up to, the audio is still unaffected, it's just beyond a certain point!

Any suggestions?

Regards, Devoun

If you are using an audio effect, try removing the effect and see if it still does it.  It may be a bug.

UPDATE

The error seems to be occurring after a certain number of splits have occurred. At the end, if I split it once the error occurs, but the clip before I need to split 2 times and the one before that 3 and so on. Strange?

Edit

There seems to be a set number of splits that can happen before this audio problem occurs, if I nest every split clip beforehand, I can split it fine until I reach the maximum amount of splits in a timeline!

It would be a good idea to upload screenshots of your entire Premiere Pro interface to try to see what happens.
