Small bug but the keyboard shortcut for Close doesn't work when trying to close the Text panel.

Think you're right, Adobe have been making some sweeping changes lately to Premiere so only natural that some things get missed.

Thanks. It will close all the panels I tested (4 or 5), but not the Text panel. I see no reason that it would not work there also.

I've wondered if there are reasons for some of the new caption workflow oddities, or if it is just that they have moved quickly, and productively, to add important features and fix bugs.

For example, even though it is open, Text is the only panel that does not have a checkmark next to it in the Window drop-down menu. Or the 3 dot drop down menus in the Text tabs would not dismiss if not executed. (It dismisses now if clicking elsewhere in the text panel, but not if you click in a different panel group.)

In the shortcuts editor it's just called Close (Command W).

I don't see a shortcut for Close Panel. What shortcut are you using? How is it assigned in the keyboard customization?
