Disk space premiere pro

Hi I'm in desperate need of some help. I was editing my project yesterday and premiere pro was completely fine, but today it won't let me open the application without crashing. It comes up with low disk space, and then later when I do miraculously get to the export page, it won't stop crashing either.  Can someone please tell me how I can free up a lot of disk storage quickly? I've cleared the unused files from the media cache but to no avail.

Hi @30140232,

Thanks for the message. I understand that you're running out of disk space and are looking for culprits taking up an usual amount of that space. One thing to try is to delete video preview files, sometimes called "Render Files." Choose Sequence > Delete Render Files. Those can build up quickly and take up a lot of space.

Otherwise, you'll have to inspect your drive to look for other gremlins that are eating up your drive space and simply remove them. Most video editors have separate drives to house media files, media cache, and video preview files to leave the C drive or Mac HD relatively free of clutter. Hope the advice helps. Please return for more guidance, if you like.

Thanks,
Kevin
