Easy way to include timeline audio with clips sent to After Effects?

Right now I'm duplicating timeline audio to include with the clips being sent to After Effects, but it seems like a 'messy' and time-consuming method.  Is there a quick way to include timeline audio for the segment of clips being sent to AE?

My guess is that the clips and the audio aren't "linked" on the sequence? So this is audio that happens on the same time in the sequence, but is not connected to that clip?

Correct.  In my current case the clip being sent is a still that gets animated in AE.  So the dialogue that's linked to the underlying camera take needs to accompany the still.  Previously I've bladed the cam clip, duplicated, selected it & still clip, then replaced with AE.  But it got me wondering if there wasn't a more 'elegant'/streamlined approach I'm missing.

You could of course select the audio track/s, then the clip, and "link" ... then unlink after if you need to. But again, that's a number of steps.
