Fast Color Corrector missing

Hey all!

I have recently noticed that my premiere pro-2023 on my mac book Pro doesn't have the fast color correction while I am using the same version on my desktop, and I have it. I have tried several ways and updated mine on the Mac, but I still haven't had it. Do you have any idea what is going on?

That effect has been in the Obsolete folder for several years. Meaning it was old code and not going to ever be updated. And I'm personally surprised those effects have stayed around as long as they have. That was first listed in that group something about Pr2018 or so ... it's been at least four years I think.

As to the FCC effect itself, some of my colorist buds felt the math involved was definitely problematic and always advised against using it.

And as your laptop is a new Apple M something or other, none of the effects from the Obsolete folder are available because the "obsolete" effects don't work on that CPU/architecture. And as noted above ... they aren't going to do any further work with them.

Your desktop can use the older code, so they're still 'there'. For ... how long? We don't know. I avoid anything in the Obsolete folder personally. Including some 'grain' effects I wish were staying.
