How do I apply my metadata column order / arrangement across multiple projects in productions?

Question

I am working in productions and I want the 'description' column to sit right next to the 'name' column of my metadata, but every time I open a project I have to repeat this task of dragging the description column to where I want it and expanding the widths of my columns to how I like it.

I have saved my preferences as it's own 'metadata preset' but this doesn't seem to apply the column order/arrangement or widths to my entire production.

Is there any way I don't have to do this every time I open each project?

Mac OS Sonoma 14.1

I think even in Productions, that is still a Project settings thing. Probably needs settings for each project. Would be nice to have the ability to set an overall default, wouldn't it?
