In and out points for an audio file won't drag from source window into timeline

Hi there,

I'm editing a video in Premiere and I'm trying to add music. I used the source window and set in and out points on the music file as it is long and I only need a few seconds of it. But once I try to drag just that part of the audio into my timeline it won't move. Whether on the selection or hand tool all it does is drag my in and out makers somewhere else along the clip that I don't want it or move the playhead along the music file. Any help would be appreciated. What am I doing wrong?
