Is there a Shortcut key to Zoom in all the Way

Is there a shortcut key to zoom in all the way to the playhead on the timeline?

 

*I'm aware of the button above the enter key which ALMOST does it. It zooms OUT all the way, but only zooms in 2 steps. I'm looking for a shortcut key that can zoom in all the way, in one click, so I can edit frames.

    Hello @Touri,

    Thanks for the post. I hear you on your feature request. If I'm not mistaken, I have seen this function in other NLEs (MC or FCP, I'm not sure). Would you like me to move the post to the Ideas forum?

    Currently, I zoom into the clip and make a trim. Then, I press the "\" key to zoom out quickly on the sequence to become reoriented. I move to my next or previous cut and then press "\" again. You then are zoomed back in on the clip at frame level. You can then carry on with fine-tuning your trim.

     

    Rinse and repeat.

     

    Does that work for you?

    WOW! This is exactly what I'm looking for. For some reason, when I would zoom in all the way and then backspace back out, clicking that button again would put me about 5 steps away from zoomed in all the way. But after you mentioned that, I understand it better and it seems to be working. 

    CONCLUSION - it would still be helpful to have the ability to "lock" in or "set" the 2 positions you toggle between though, so no matter what i've been working on, I couldknow that when I press that button it will always toggle between my 2 preferred zoom settings. Sure, if you would be so kind as to move this to the ideas forum, that would be great. Thank you, kindly.

      But what is "zoom all the way in" ... define that, very specifically ... as you can zoom into milliseconds, way tighter than a single frame.

       

      And past that, I'm unclear what within a frame one would do ... so giving us an example of what you are wanting specifically could be very helpful.

      Sure thing!
      ....If you we're to press  "+" key on your keyboard (about 12 times) until it won't zoom in anymore, that's what I'm looking to get to in one click of a keyboard button.
