Months Worth Of Premiere Files Deleted After Most Recent Update

Hi, I've been saving my premiere files to the same spot for over a year now (documents, premiere pro). After opening premiere pro last Monday all of my premiere files from the past month and a bit have been deleted. Is this something that will continue to happen if I don't change a setting?

Win or Mac? There is of course no features to randomly delete project  files. Always make a backup on a different drive. I save my projects and other important files on a USB drive I turn off when not backing up. Sorry to hear about that, are you sure you searched well? *.prproj files in Windows.
