Morph Cut XML question

I have a morph cut in a Premiere sequence that works beautifully.  However, I'm doing my color in Resolve via an XML.  Resolve does not have such a morph cut, and instead substitutes a dissolve.  My question:  Does  a morph cut require "handles" as a dissolve does?  If it doesn't, then I can remove the dissolve in Resolve and add the morph cut back to the exported final color in Premiere.  Otherwise, I think I'll have to separately color the original full shot and rebuild the truncated shot with the morph cut in Premiere.  Thanks!

Morph Cut is a transition and does use handles.

You can test this by butting up two untrimmed clips, adding morph cut.

A popup will appear saying it will use repeated frames.

I don't think you need to rebuild, just replace cross dissolve with morph cut.

Morph doesn't have 'handles' in the traditional sense. It rebuilds frames. Typically best limited to 2-5, in practical use in my experience. So that is a tricky question.

@Warren Heaton10841144 or @Richard M Knight  ... you got any suggestions?

Let me rephrase. Do I need any handles for Premiere to rebuild this morph cut. Or can I simply recreate it with a jump cut and no extra frames?  Thanks.

That's a good question. Which is why I'm hoping for someone to jump in. I've not tried that myself ... but I would think either Warren or Richard (or a few others here) would know.
