I have a student that does not have the voice over icon (grayed out mic) on her sequence panel.  She is the only one in the room that is missing this feature.  What am I missing to turn it back on?

    First thing to check is the settings: Settings/Preferences: Audio Hardware and check the Default Input.

      Without more information, the first guess is that her computer audio system needs some tuning.  Does it have a mic?  Are the drivers there?  If the audio system is disabled or malfunctioning,  Premiere doesn't have anything to connect to.
