Playback and timeline lag

, recently, I have been editing my own videos. But when I’m editing, and I eventually added to many effects, for example, to a meme where I crop it and add a drop shadow, it now begins to lag when I try to move it to another location on the screen making it to where I have to wait for the PC to update to see where the meme is at on the screen rather than it updating in real time. And I have a good computer so I was wondering how do I fix this problem?

CPU: Ryzen 7 3900 8 core

 RAM: 32gb 3200mhz 

GPU: 3060 12gb memory
