Question

Premiere looses sync when you move project folder or rename it

When I move a project folder within finder to another drive or another place or if I rename the folder that contains all the assets. When I re-open the Premiere project, all the video clips have lost syc majorily. It's like all the video has slid across and I have lost my edit. There is no broken media at all. It works, but the it's not the edit.

If I move the folder back to the drive where I did the edit. It all works.

If I rename the prject folder to what it was previsouly it works perfectly.

Generally the content comes from a ATEM MINI EXTREME ISO. We re edit the live using the ISO clips.

What am I doing wrong here? I have always been able to move whole projects by just moving the top level folder as everything is organised within.

Is it a cache thing? or timecode thing?

My SSD's are filling up and I need help. Thanks,

This sounds like a known issue that's fixed.  Update from Premeire Pro 23.4 to 23.6.

If the project was not saved after noticing the issue, open that project after the update and it should work as expected.

If the project was saved after noticing the issue, open an auto-save project after updating and then save that as the current project.
