Question

Premiere Pro crashing constantly

I have purchased and installed Premiere Pro today (new 24.2.1 version).

The program is crashing every time I'm trying to open new project. After installation I did watch some tutorials and it was working fine.  Now I can open the program but then whatever I press it is eiter hanging up showing foggish screen or just crashing and closing. 9 out of 10 is crashing.

My setup is new - system installed some 2 months ago:

Processor: Intel i9-13900K 3.00 GHz (13th generation)
Motherboard: ASUS z790 Creator WiFi
RAM: 128 GB
GPU: GeForce RTX 4090

System: Windows 11, 64 bit ver 23H2

In addition Norton AV is running constantly.

I did try to reset settings, clear cache, uninstall and install the program again, start with Alt or Ctrl+Alt or Shift+Alt - all same - nothing is working and crashing and crashing...

Using Adobe PS for over 20 years without any problem and having such problems with Premiere just hours after purchase is not very promising - would say depressive.

Hi...I'm having the exact same issue and a very similar build...RTX 4080, 128GB DDR5 5600 MHz RAM, i9-14900KS, Asus ProArt Creator Z790 Mobo..
Have you had any luck resolving this?

Just to add, I don't think it's your system specs, they're much much higher than mine.... and my Premiere works fine ,no crushes at all... so not sure why

Sorry to hear you're having problems with Premiere. Yes, Premiere does tend to crash much more than Photoshop (After Effects crashes even more 😉  ) .

Did you try to install the previous version?

I’m in touch with Adobe Helpdesk. For third time already. Seems that there
is a bug in NVIDIA latest driver - latest two drivers. Plus some C++
library.

Still fighting. 😀 😀 😀
