Question

Premiere Pro playback debugging

Hi, is there a way of debugging or logging playback messages from Premiere Pro, similar to the messages window in VLC?

We have playback issues with some MXF wrapped DVCPRO 50 files that we have produced, where only the 1st frame of video is being displayed followed by blank output. The same files playback fine in VLC but am at a loss as to why they do not playback in Premiere Pro.

Our copy of Premiere Pro is on a MAC.

Hey Andrew,

Sorry for the issue. I can't find this specific type of codec in the supported file formats list (https://adobe.ly/4axL2ZN). Please try transcoding your file using ShutterEncoder (https://adobe.ly/4ayHVRk) and check if the converted file works for you. I'll recommend using the Apple Prores LT option since it's an edit friendly codec. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Ishan
