Premiere Pro stops working unexpectedly

Since the last update of Premiere Pro, it's the fifth time that while working on a project, Premiere Pro suddenly shuts down and displays an error message saying it has encountered an unexpected failure. I repeat, this has happened five times since the last update. I can't work under these conditions. If anyone else is experiencing the same issue, I hope they know the solution. I'm honestly very disappointed with Adobe in this regard. Every time I bring up an issue, they tell me it's my computer, when in reality, it happens on all five I own: 2 iMac M2s and 3 PCs. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to unsubscribe from Adobe and switch to Davinci Resolve, as I've been told it's much more stable and user-friendly.

The grass ain't always greener. As someone who works for/with/teaches pro colorists, mostly based in Resolve, and also on Macs (I'm PCs) ... I spend a lot of time working with Resolve and on the LGG colorists forum and BlackMagic forums.

There's a long list of issues over there also. And it's going up every release. I think trying to mimic Adobe, in providing a one source "we do all workflows on all systems and hardware with all media", simply comes with inherent problems.

Resolve may or may not work better for you. And as an app built around color, with editing, sound and Fx cadged in, it doesn't have near the range of editing tools and keyboard shortcuts of either Avid or Premiere.

So post what media and effects you're using, and what you're doing when it flatlines on you. "We" can probably get it sorted. Realistically, the vast majority of users in all 3 apps are getting along OK. Though some are getting hammered in all.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
