Premiere starts glitching and then won't reopen - Have to restart my machine.

Hi - 

I'm running Premiere on Windows 11 Pro and after just a few minutes of editing, it starts playing back too fast and skipping.  It's basically unusable.  Then when I close and reopen premiere it just hangs on the splash screen.  I have to restart windows for it to open.

I am importing a lot of clips with .tif image sequences and the problem only started when I started importing the image sequences so I guess that has something to do with it, but it's the best way to work for me.

I'm this close to switching to another editing software (any suggestions??)- I like the user interface of premiere but this problem and the fact that I can't just buy a permanent license puts me at the end of my rope with it 😞
