Premiere Won't Launch - M1 Mac Mini

Hello,

I have been editing with a Mac Mini M1 computer with no issues.  Sudeenly after a crash the application will not move past the launch screen and will not load anything.  I know that plugins can stall launch, but the plugins don't even begin to load so I cannot see what is causing the error.

I have done the following:

Updated OS
Installed Older version of Premiere
Used Adobe Cleaner to fully uninstall
Checked activity Monitor for any leftover adobe software running (none)
Reinstalled after a restart and everything done
Removed all plug ins I previously installed

Please help!

I am running Monterey 12.6 OS

  Chip: Apple M1

Total Number of Cores: 8 (4 performance and 4 efficiency)

  Memory: 16 GB
Running dual monitors (I read someone else had issues with this but I went down to 1 monitor and the problem persisted)

I am on the newest version of Adobe Premiere as well.

Here is a screen shot of what I see when I try to launch Premiere:

As you can see, I cannot even see what plug in, or what it is that is stalling the launch

Question 1:
Is there something I haven't tried which could fix this?
Question 2:
Is there another way to find and delete all Adobe plugins?

I have a .dmp crash report which wont load below.  I can forward it upon request

Thank you in advance for your help

Update:

Holding down the option key or holding down comman+shift to reset the preferences or the plug in cache do not work either.  Premiere still crashes.

Also, I do not have any coremelt text plug ins (a known plug in that causes a crash)

Does anyone know of any other potential solutions besides the ones listed in this post and the original solutions in the post above?

Hi Joshua,

This may have something to do with Rosetta II not being installed. You may have to reinstall the Creative Cloud desktop software. See this thread: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/error-183-when-installing-premiere-pro-on-mac/m-p/13214607#M431386

Let us know if that works.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

That was a great idea but unfortunately it did not work.

What is strange about this is that it occurred after Premiere was left open while my computer went to sleep.  Premiere crashed but was not able to load afterwards.  When that has happened in the past it would give me an error/crash notification when the computer was woken up.  This time it did not do that.

I did not add any extra plug ins and I did not have any issues for quite a while.  (previously I had a faulty plug in which I was able to identify and remove)

To be clear I just tried:

Installed Rosetta 2 via terminal
Erased and re-downloaded Adobe creative cloud and premiere using the link you provided above
installed an earlier (mac/intel based) version of premiere version 15 - App Still didn't load
I upgraded to the current version (which I was using with no issues) - App Still didn't load

Is there anything else I can try? It seems this issue has something to do with something larger than a plugin

thank you again for your help.

Cheers,

Josh
