Hi,

it would be helpfull if the clipname effect would be like a global effect that you can apply to a timeline

to show in the image. Best in the render output menu.

That way we dont need to add it to every single clip

I tried to add it to an adjustment layer, but then it just says: Adjustment Layer > which is not helpfull

Havent seen a rendered video lately that was instructing me that the layer i was not seeing is an adjustment layer (if you know of a situation that this is helpfull pls let me know)

anyone knows an answer to this problem?

do I need to make a request?

cheers Peter

Hello Shebbe

Thats exactlly what i whant to do.

It would be very helpfull .

If you work with many people on a project, most of them will get a rendered video

If the can give me more information then just the TC it helps for my worklflow.

I got it to work again, but it takes a few adjustments.

It works with both AL and directly on a clip.

Here's the settings.

1) Timecode goes in Line 1

2) You have to put the Filename in "Line 2" (ie: not in Line 1)

Watch out for the Line 1 timecode, it looked like it wasn't doing anything, but then I saw a very light sliver, and there seems to be a lower limit to how you can place it, so just raising it up a bit displayed it.

I think this will help.

You might also check out the new(ish) Metadata & Timecode Burn-in effect.

It works on an AL, and has a bunch of options.

Hey,

yes works , but only for videoclips

If you make a slideshow (and need the reference of the image in the picture, like in the old days

of printing the numbers of the film outside of the Film for reference)

Its not showing up. It also does not make any other reference.

Can somebody confirm this pls?

thanxs.

I have one concern so, if we can add some capability to the effect:

You need to apply the effect to every single layer.

It would be greate if you could apply the effect to a Adjustment Layer and then:

Print top Layername or

Print all Layernames

cheers Peter

You can do this via the Overlay settings ... as I've got here.

Options were sequence clip name, track V1, bottom centered.
