Relink to ProRes, Clips Out of sync

Hi All,

I have two, 10min clips of a talking head I shot on my S1H. I brought each clip into After Effects to fix some things, and exported two new clips (of exactly the same duration) as ProRes.

I have my timeline, that contains all my edits using the original clips. But when I select my original clips in the Project Panel, right-click and Replace Footage, and navigate to my newly minted ProRes clips... everything is out of sync in my timeline.

The timecode in the originals is different than the ProRes clips (the latter start at 00:00:00:00), so is that the problem? If so, what is the workaround? Thank you!

I exported the sequence as a new Premiere Pro project, and then the new clips successfully relinked.

I had to reimport media not used by this sequence into this new project, which resulted in disorganization and duplicate master clips... but hey that's how it goes.

Hi @ebenabbaan,

I got your note. You are having sync issues on exported clips. Right? Not sure what happened there. You might try using Clip > Modify > Timecode to conform the clips to the same Timecode. Try it with one clip to see if it works. Hope the advice helps. Sorry for the frustration.

Thanks,
Kevin
