Retrieve Image Dimensions using SCRIPT

Hey! I'm making a pretty simple script that simply resizes a selected oimage to a specified width, for example 250px and I have basically the whole script down but the only problem is I don't know how to retrieve the original size of the selected image. Once I have this info it'll be as simple as setting the scale to "original width/desired width". Any help would be greatly appreciated.
