I have a workaround for this but it is usually long and tedious because it involves collecting the Files in a new location. Is there a way to just sort the files that is not used by premiere, and delete those?

Correct answer Ann Bens

In the metadata display set: Video Usage.

When sorted, select all and Make Offline.

When the offline option appears, you have the choice to keep on disk or remove the files.
