Transcript/subtitling/auto-transcribe bug

Hello, over the past few days I've been experiencing an issue with the transcibe/captioning feature in Premiere Pro 2024. When I'm editing the text to check for the inevitable mistakes after auto-transcribing an audio track, I can't make changes to the text thereafter. I'll click on the edit button, edit the text and all will look well, then when I click away, the changes won't have taken effect in the dialogue/caption box.

I've only been experiencing this the past few days, and it's happened both when I changed the project from my work laptop to my personal one (both Premiere Pro 2024). I have also played around on different projects and the bug happens when captioning any video project with subtitles in it. Has anyone else been experiencing this issues? Or does anyone know if I'm doing something wrong? I'm pretty boned without the ability to auto-transcribe video in my line of work. Thanks.
