Typing in Premiere

Is anyone else having an issue with text acting up in Premiere? Whether I'm doing subtitles or just normal text graphics for a video, I can do a couple of words and then Premiere will do some random unrelated thing, like just know it deleted all the files from the project apart from the file I was typing on top of. It seems to be a new thing it decides to do each time.
